The History
Ideal Tile was founded by three brothers in 1976. The founders
have over 40 years experience in the flooring industry.
Their experience covers the full spectrum of the tile industry,
from floor installations and selection of products to importing
and distribution. The grand opening of the first Ideal Tile store
came to Freehold New Jersey at the same time when new construction
was steadfastly taking place in the area. The success at this
location encouraged its founders to open more Ideal Tile stores.
They targeted the New York -New Jersey area with intentions of
making Ideal Tile a household name. As demand for ceramic tiles
increased, marble and granite tiles were being introduced to the
market. The popularity of ceramic and polished stone tiles amongst
consumers was booming. The existing warehouse in Freehold could
no longer keep up with the overwhelming demand. The need for a
larger warehouse was inevitable, thus yielding Ideal Tile Importing
in Howell New Jersey. This main warehouse and distribution center
opened in 1986 and has remained so since. The expansion allowed
for the centralization of inventory in turn increasing the service,
support and selection of products offered to our customers.

The Expansion into a Marble and Granite Division.
In order for the Ideal Tile stores to have a more competitive advantage in both ceramic
and natural stones, a Marble and Granite Division was formed. This Division enables Ideal
Tile to offer a more complete and expansive selection and options to its customers. The
marble and granite is predominantly imported from Brazil, India,Italy,Spain, Greece,
Turkey and the Orient or wherever a popular stone is escavated.
The Marble and Granite Division is complete with marble and granite slabs
to match the tiles. Slabs can be manufactured for countertops, vanity tops, staircases,
fireplaces, furniture surfaces, etc. whether for residential or commercial use.
Yet another advantage to Ideal Tile’s "one-stop" shopping
is the addition of its own natural stone fabrication facilities. Ideal Tile Fabrications
is set up with state-of-the-art machinery where a stone can be transformed into a
masterpiece.
